Trophy Winners

The results for the 2016 Australian International Coffee Awards (AICA), presented by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), were announced on Wednesday 16 March.  

The AICA awarded eight champion trophies to recognise and celebrate quality across several key coffee types and categories:  Champion Australian Roaster, Champion International Roaster, Champion Direct Trade or Microlot Coffee, Champion Milk Based Coffee, Champion Soy Coffee, Champion Espresso, Champion Cold Brew and Champion Filter Coffee.

Bellissimo Coffee purchase beans direct from Los Cantares Estate, a coffee producing farm located in the Paso Ancho area of Volcan, Chiriquí. The estate is a small, family-owned and operated coffee farm currently managed by owner Marie Jackie Mercer Vallarino Cantares. It is situated at 4500 feet above sea level in the shadow of the now-dormant Baru Volcano in Panama's Chiriqui province. The estate is an active member of the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama and has won several awards over multiple years with its unique high quality coffee in the Best of Panama competition.
