The Best of Show Championship
2013 Winner: F&R Bracken and 'Stadium Girl'
The Best of Show Championship was first held in 2008 and is open to the Supreme Champion Led Exhibit of each Breed. As many as 40 finalists are paraded in front of three judges. Each judge individually selects three Exhibits and then awards points to each Exhibit based on conformation and movement. The highest scoring Exhibit is Best of Show Champion. The next four highest scoring Exhibits will make up the top five.
The Eileen Bartram Perpetual Trophy Awarded to the Best Welsh Exhibit.
2013 Winner: M Bulllen and 'Imperial Bewitching'
Eileen Bartram of Viewbank Stud in Heidelberg bred champion Welsh Mountain, Shetland and Australian Ponies for many years and competed successfully at Royal Shows for 50 years from 1935. She was a Life Member of the Australian Pony Stud Book Society and an Honorary Member of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society.
Marshwood Perpetual Trophy
2013 Winner: Mrs I and N Hogg and 'Pilanta Park Showman'
First awarded in 1974, the Marshwood Perpetual Trophy is presented to the Supreme Champion Shetland Pony. The Marshwood Shetland Stud was conducted by Major and Mrs Maurice Cox who bred Shetlands in Scotland and on the Shetland Isles. Major Cox was an authoritative writer on the breed and also judged the Shetland classes at the 1973 Royal Melbourne Show.
Gert Donvig Memorial Trophy
2013 Winner: Ms K Birse and 'Hollingrove Sorrento'
The Gert Donvig Memorial Trophy is presented to the Champion Led Warmblood Stallion or Colt and was first awarded in 1988.
Cecily Crozier Perpetual Trophy
2012 Winner: Mrs K Dertell and 'Sadiks Psyche'
The Cecily Crozier Perpetual Trophy is awarded to the winner of the Ridden Arabian Stallion or Colt class. Mrs Cecily Cornish provided the Cecily Crozier Perpetual Trophy for the ridden Arabian Stallion to initiate ridden stallion classes at the Royal Melbourne Show. The ridden Arabian Stallion class was the first ridden stallion class in any breed and was first held in 1954.
The Australian Saddle Pony Assoc. Ltd Perpetual Trophy
2013 Winner: Hamlot Park and 'Hamlot Park Royal Quest'
The Australian Saddle Pony Association Perpetual Trophy was first awarded in 1994 and is presented to the Champion Ridden Australian Saddle Pony
