How do I enter the Royal Melbourne Horse Show?
Entries for the Royal Melbourne Horse Show can be submitted using the online entry system or by posting Entry Forms to the RASV with all relevant paperwork.
When do entries close?
Entries close for all sections in November 2013. No late entries will be accepted.
What is the Administration Fee?
All entries not submitted through the online entry system will incur a $25 Administration Fee. For assistance with the online entry system, please call the Equestrian Events Office on (03) 9281 7537.

How do I withdraw my entry?
All withdrawals must be made in writing and submitted to RASV Equestrian Events Section.
During the Show, Exhibitors who are unable to present to accepted classes must notify the Event Office in writing of the withdrawal no later than 5pm the day prior to when each class is scheduled to take place.
If I withdraw before the close of entries, will I receive a refund?
Withdrawals received prior to 5pm Friday 13 December 2013 may be eligible for a refund of fees paid. Refunds will be issued at the discretion of the RASV upon written notification accompanied by either a veterinary or medical certificate. A $25 Administration Fee will apply to refunds. No refunds will be issued after the 13 December 2013.
Do I need to qualify to enter the Royal Melbourne Horse Show?
Geldings, females and entire males 2 years and under are not required to provide performances. Entire males 3 years and over must have either a performance in the 2012 or 2013 show season or must be able to demonstrate that they are fit to be shown. All Exhibitors competing in the Saddle Horse Championships are to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
When will the 2014 Royal Melbourne Horse Show Schedule be available?
The 2014 Royal Melbourne Horse Show Schedule and online entries will be released online in October 2013.
Who is the Exhibitor?
The Exhibitor is the the person showing the Exhibit and is responsible for the Exhibit entry. The Exhibitor may include the owner, lessee or agent of the owner or lessee.
Does the Exhibitor have to be the owner?
No, please refer to 'Who is the Exhibitor?'.
What horse registrations are accepted?
All Exhibits entered in the Breed Section must be registered with their recognised breed society and be a current financial member. Exhibits competing in the Saddle Horse Championships need to registered with a recognised breed society, State Hack Council, Equestrian Australia or registered on the National Saddle Horse register.
Does my horse have to be measured at the show?
All exhibits entered in the Saddle Horse Championships require a current RASV measuring card issued within 12 months of the show (exhibits 5 years and over) or within 6 months (exhibits under 5 year).
All exhibits under 8 years of age in a Breed Section where height is stipulated in a class or as part of a breed standard require a current measurement card. Current Equestrian Australia, Show Horse Council, Australian pony Stud Book, Royal Show or Victorian Agricultural Show measuring cards will be accepted.
Exhibits 8 years and over in Breed Sections who have a measuring card from one of the previously mentioned associations from any year after and including the year in which the horse turned 7 years of age will not need a current measuring card, provided a copy of the expired measuring card is produced.
When will the timetable of classes be available?
The timetable of classes will be available online in December.
