Royal Melbourne Alpaca Show

The Royal Melbourne Alpaca Show showcases some of the best alpacas from around Australia and provides an opportunity for exhibitors to promote and benchmark their stud.

The Royal Melbourne Alpaca Show is making its mark as Victoria’s premier Alpaca competition, providing exhibitors with a dedicated event space and valuable networking opportunities. The competition is split into two sections – Huacaya and Suri.

2017 Key Dates

Entries Open: Monday 10 April
Entries Close: Monday 5 June
Event: Saturday 8 July – Sunday 9 July
Judging: Judging of all sections will commence at 9:00am Saturday 8 July and conclude by 5:00pm on Sunday 9 July

    2017 marks 60 years since the introduction of Sun-News Pictorial Miss Show Girl Competition in Victoria. Introduced in 1957, the event was open to girls aged between 16 – 25. Most Victorian country shows ran a qualifying heat with the winner eligible for the final, which was judged at the Royal Melbourne Show.

    RASV is thrilled to be partnering with the 2017 Australian Sheep and Wool Show, the biggest event of its kind in Australia, to be held in Bendigo in July. In a new initiative, the Show will also be the first time the Competition Management System developed by RASV will be used by an outside event.
