The Royal Melbourne Beef Carcase competition offers exhibitors the opportunity to take home a prestigious trophy or blue ribbon, receive invaluable feedback from industry experts and be part of Victoria’s largest and most iconic annual community event, the Royal Melbourne Show.

The Weekly Times Livestock Pavilion plays host to Victoria’s beef industry throughout the competition. Producers, brokers and industry body representatives are in attendance to celebrate the contribution breeds make to Victorian agriculture. The competition provides participants with the opportunity to network with industry peers and benchmark the quality of their livestock.

The Royal Melbourne Show Beef Carcase Competition delivers an exceptional exhibitor experience, with the highest calibre of judges, exhibitor facilities and results technology.

    The 2017 McLennan-McColl Victoria Flock of the Year will head to Western Victoria in March. The on-farm competition is open to all commercial Merino producers in the area and celebrates and assists with improving the quality of Victoria’s merino ewe flocks, with a $1500 cash prize on offer.

    The RASV Beef Week Heifer Challenge will travel through Victoria and into NSW over 9 days beginning on Friday 27 January 2017, with the schedule of regions now available. The event recognises excellence in herd replacement females in seed stock operation and will culminate in the Beef Week Dinner on Tuesday 7 February.
