Fleece

The Royal Melbourne Show Fleece Competition showcases sheep and alpaca fleeces from across south-east Australia, and incorporates the District Fleece Competition, which celebrates Champion fleeces from across Victorian agricultural shows.

Results are displayed during the Royal Melbourne Show, presenting the varieties and versatilities of the products and industry.

The Royal Melbourne Show Fleece Competition enables exhibitors to donate their fleeces for sale. Entry fees are waived for exhibitors donating their fleeces. Fleeces are sold by Arcadian Wool, who generously waives all associated fees, with proceeds of the sale donated to Legacy and charity partner to be announced in May 2017.
