Over 20 of Victoria’s best local producers will be showcased at the food and fibre industry’s night of nights, Agriculture: The Heart of Victoria gala dinner to be held on Thursday 11 May in the MCG Members Dining Room, with tickets now on sale.
The premier event on the Victorian agriculture calendar, the dinner, conducted by the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) and The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is in its fifth year of celebrating and promoting the growing contribution of agriculture to Victoria’s economy, which is worth over $11.9b in exports.
The event will provide guests with the opportunity to taste from a bespoke menu featuring quality ingredients from local producers, matched with local wine and beer, hear from the keynote speaker and meet with like-minded peers, agri-business professionals and industry participants in a night of food, farming and friends.
The menu features over 20 Victorian producers, including award-winning produce from RASV’s prestigious Australian Food Awards.
The awards celebrate and recognise excellence in quality and attract entries from around the country, across eight major food categories.
This year for the first time, the event will be held in the exclusive MCG Members Dining Room with a spectacular view of the hallowed turf, and has been timed to coincide with the AFL Country Round the following weekend, which highlights the important link between farming communities and football clubs.
Tickets are limited so early purchase is encouraged, with VFF and RASV Members eligible for an exclusive member price. Visit heartofvic.com.au for further information or to buy tickets.
