Conducted annually by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards presents the unique opportunity for all manufacturers - from the commercial giants to the small boutiques - to benchmark their products, use winning medals on packaging and promotional material and meet with like-minded exhibitors at the Presentation of Awards function.
The 2011 Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards will celebrate premium fine food in nine categories including:
- Branded beef
- Chocolate
- Coffee
- Dairy, Sheep, Goat & Buffalo (cheese, yoghurt, milk, butter, cream)
- Ice cream, gelatos and sorbet
- Delicatessen (dips, antipasti, smallgoods and uncooked sausages)
- Extra virgin olive oil, flavoured oil and table olives
- Preserves and honey
- Packaging
Judging will take place from Monday 1 August to Tuesday 23 August and the winners will be announced at the awards presentation luncheon on Monday 3 October, during the Royal Melbourne Show.
Medal winners will be able to participate in a number of consumer awareness activities being organised to promote the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards during the Royal Melbourne Show.
