2010 Royal Melbourne Horse Show
The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria presented the 2010 Royal Melbourne Horse Show from 23 – 26 January at the Werribee Park, National Equestrian Centre. Over 1,200 exhibits competed over the four days at Werribee Park.
The RASV welcomed several new competitions to the Show including handler classes and best presented in each breed. The Mc Nutt Family from Boho prepared their ponies well as they took out two first placings in the best presented classes with Thamesbourne Snowman and Thamesbourne Lollytime.
The well patronised child handler class under 14 years was judged by Norma Boyd and after careful consideration Sarah Graham from Woodend handling Mondiso Park Royal Secret was awarded the first placed rosette and trophy. Other winning handlers included Laura Golding, Charlotte Gibbons and A Crocker.
The RASV would like to thank all its' valued stakeholders, volunteers, exhibitors and members who helped to produce a world class breed event.

2010 Royal Melbourne Horse Show Best of Show Champion ‘War Wind’
Winner of the 2010 Best of Show Championship was War Wind. War Wind is a grey Warmblood gelding exhibited by Shae Hanger of Moorooduc. War Wind had a very successful Royal Melbourne Horse Show not only winning the title of Best of Show but also taking out Champion Warmblood gelding and Supreme Champion Show Hunter.
War Wind was breed by Blackall Park Stud by Daley K out of Blackall Park Sunshine. In his impressive show career War Wind has been very successful at many agricultural and royal shows including winning the 2008 Garryowen with Shae Hanger at the Royal Melbourne Show.
