The new Royal Melbourne Dairy Show will be held Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 September, 2010, at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
Comprising of the Kubota Dairy Youth Classic and dairy cattle breed and interbreed competitions which culminate in the prestigious Royal Melbourne Champion Dairy Cow award, the Royal Melbourne Dairy Show will provide a springtime focus for the dairy industry.
Participating exhibitors can expect to be treated with more prize money, a welcome breakfast and evening celebration to bring the exciting new event to a close.
School students will be invited to participate in interactive displays and see dairy cattle being prepared and judged. It is expected that the Royal Melbourne Dairy Show will attract industry and wider publicity in the lead up to the Royal Melbourne Show.

The RASV has announced that this year's Royal Melbourne Show will be held from Saturday 18 September to Tuesday 28 September at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
Traditionally beginning the Thursday prior to school holidays, the scheduling of this year's event has been moved to encompass the second week of the school holidays, making it even more accessible for a greater number of young families to attend.
The changes in dates will affect that days that some competitions will take place. A competitions program for the 2010 Show will be available soon.
The Royal Melbourne Championship Dog Show will be held from Saturday 18 to Tuesday 28 September with General Specials held on Saturday 25 September.
