In a heartwarming display of community spirit and dedication to spreading joy during the festive season, the CBA Staff Social & Charity Club successfully delivered 1,150 hampers across Victoria and Tasmania as part of Operation Plum Pudding. This collaborative effort, which took place at Melbourne Showgrounds, involved retired officers and over 200 staff volunteers who packed the hampers, ensuring that they reached recipients' doors just in time for Christmas.

Grant High School in Mount Gambier, South Australia, have been an exceptionally dedicated exhibitor at the Melbourne Royal Show for over a decade. Their success in this year’s Melbourne Royal Beef Carcase competition, however, truly stood out.

Among the standout winners of the 2023 Australian Food Awards, Inglenook Dairy, based in Dunnstown, Victoria, not only clinched the Trophy for Best Cream but also secured an impressive array of accolades, including four Gold medals, two Silver medals, and a Bronze. On Thursday, July 13, 2023, Melbourne Royal unveiled the results of the highly anticipated 2023 Australian Food Awards’ Sweet & Savoury Preserves category. After a three-year hiatus, this year's competition witnessed an impressive 324 entries spanning 12 diverse categories, culminating in the bestowing of Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals, along with three major Trophies. In a remarkable feat, Grange Garlic, in their debut entry, clinched a prestigious Gold Medal in the Pickled, Fermented, or Preserved Fruit or Vegetables category.

On Thursday 4 August, Melbourne Royal announced the results for the 2023 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards at an impressive cocktail awards presentation held in the Victoria Pavilion at Melbourne Showgrounds. The 2023 Melbourne Royal Australian Distilled Spirits Awards attracted a record 970 entries from 246 exhibitors across 11 categories. The Awards saw 112 gold, 364 silver, and 318 bronze medals, along with 20 category Trophies presented on the night. Bond Store Wallaroo was awarded a Silver Medal for their Lime & Pandan gin.
