Why Should I Enter?
The prestigious competition includes the Action Dog Program featuring the Highest in Trial Awards for Obedience, Agility & Jumping and culminates with the Best In Show Awards for Conformation.
With one of the largest prize-pools offered within dog competitions across Australia, exhibitors are given the opportunity to compete for major awards and have their dogs assessed by some of the world’s most accomplished judges and local experts.
With emphasis on delivering an exceptional exhibitor experience, the 2018 competition includes improved exhibitor facilities and technology. This includes new tea room facilities, more agility equipment, improved artificial grass for the indoor ring and, for the first time, exhibitors will be able to live-stream all competition rings from during the Show via a mobile app.
Exhibitors also receive one complimentary admission ticket to the 2018 Royal Melbourne Show for each day their exhibit participates at the Royal Melbourne Show All Breeds Championship Show.
Thanks to the generosity of the International Federation for Animal Health, Orthopaedics & DNA (IFAH) exhibitors can share in $3,000 worth of cash prizes on IFAH Sweepstakes Day, and over $20,000 worth of gift prizes for all Best of Breed winners, Challenge winners and returning General Specials Day exhibitors.
Recognition for the best
Major award winners also receive recognition in the industry through interview opportunities and the win is recorded in the Catalogue of Results, housed at the State Library of Victoria.
Dog rescue groups invited to exhibit
In addition to competitions, the Show includes exhibition space for exhibitors to connect with dog-lovers, educating them on the various breeds and dog ownership.
New in 2018, dog rescue groups are welcome to apply to exhibit at the IFAH Dogs Pavilion from Sunday 30 September to Tuesday 2 October, after General Specials Day. Email email@example.com to apply.
